Senior Financial Data & Reporting Analyst

The Opportunity 

This role provides advanced technical expertise across finance reporting, data automation and analytics engineering. Operating at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology, the Senior Financial Data & Reporting Analyst builds scalable reporting assets, strengthens data foundations and enables high‑quality, insight‑driven financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance automated Power BI reporting solutions and underlying data models.Work effectively with the client to manage a joint plan & core activities to deliver the client project.
• Maintain and optimise automated data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation and validation.
• Deliver process automation solutions using Power Automate and Python to remove manual steps
• Uphold data quality, governance and control standards across finance datasets.
• Support technical optimisation, validation and testing of Dynamics 365 finance reporting outputs.
• Translate finance reporting and analysis requirements into scalable, reusable analytics solutions.
• Provide technical input into finance transformation initiatives and contribute to Intake execution.
• Engage effectively with multiple finance, systems and data stakeholders; manage competing priorities to deliver high‑quality outputs on time

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in analytics engineering, BI development and reporting automation.
• Advanced Power BI capability, including Power Query, DAX optimisation and model performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with Power Automate; working knowledge of Python is advantageous.
• Strong grounding in data engineering concepts, refresh monitoring and pipeline optimisation.
• Familiarity with ERP ecosystems (ideally Dynamics 365) and associated reporting patterns.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance and finance control requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, balance varying priorities and maintain delivery momentum.
• Highly organised, analytical and delivery‑focused, with strong technical curiosity.
