Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Architect

Position Summary:
Serve as the Project Lead and primary expert in Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). Responsible for assessment, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of GPO's ZTA in line with federal standards and the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and maturity of the GPO’s Zero Trust Architecture, including architecture development, implementation, and operations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute ZTA activities as per NIST SP 800-207 and federal directives.
- Perform assessment planning and implementation (Identity, Devices, Networks, Applications & Workloads, and Data).
- Develop ZTA System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation and Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in the application of Zero Trust principles across IT systems.
- Oversee integration of automation, orchestration, visibility, and analytics capabilities in cybersecurity operations.
- Build and maintain documentation for all ZTA pillar activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for the successful achievement of all ZTA goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing ZTA in GCC-H/GCC environments.
- Deep familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and CISA ZTMM guidance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
- Must be able to pass a GPO public trust background check.
Additional Requirements for All Key Personnel:
- General GCC-H/GCC Experience: All roles require a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on work with Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC-H/GCC) environments.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass and maintain a GPO Public Trust background check.
- Eligibility for Telework: All FTEs may telework but must be available for all in-person meetings as required by GPO IT Security.
