Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Research Analyst with 2–3 years of experience in federal contracting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in market research, capture intelligence, and business development support, providing critical insights to C-level executives, business development teams, and service delivery professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement processes, federal contracting terminology, and outstanding communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis, collection, and dissemination of critical capture and market intelligence information.
- Provide actionable business development (BD) intelligence and insights to C-level executives, BD teams, and service delivery professionals, enabling strategic decision-making and improving win probability.
- Leverage business development and market intelligence platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the federal contracting industry.
- Utilize government procurement and contract databases, such as SAM.gov, USASpending.gov, and FPDS.gov, to gather and interpret key data to support capture efforts.
- Communicate effectively via phone and email with industry stakeholders, including high-ranking government personnel and industry partners.
- Stay current with federal contracting terminology, processes, and policies to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to convey key findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in market research, capture intelligence, or business development within the federal contracting industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally.
- Strong proficiency in conducting outreach and building relationships with industry professionals over phone and email.
- Familiarity with federal contracting practices, terminology, and procurement platforms.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in using advanced tools for market research and BD intelligence within the federal contracting space.
- Prior experience working directly with C-level executives or senior stakeholders in a strategic advisory capacity.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in federal contracting and procurement.
Minimum Eligibility: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency for at least three (3) years.
Location: Hybrid work schedule: 2–3 days per week in the Virginia office, with occasional local travel within the DC Metro area.
