Position Summary:
Responsible for the deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (DfE) across GPO’s enterprise, in support of the agency’s continuous endpoint protection and compliance with Zero Trust tenets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy Defender for Endpoint agents to Microsoft-supported endpoints using Intune or AD Group Policy.
- Identify target endpoint machines, versions, and develop deployment strategies.
- Create and test DfE deployment scripts; coordinate mass rollouts.
- Uninstall legacy EDR and anti-virus solutions as needed; validate proper configuration post-deployment.
- Monitor onboarding status, reporting, and continuous health of endpoints.
- Ensure compliance with federal best practices in endpoint security management.
- Coordinate with SIEM and ZTA Architect for incident detection and response integration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience in the deployment/administration of GCC-H/GCC Microsoft Security tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, and related security management platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to implement federal endpoint security controls and practices.
- Must be able to pass a GPO public trust background check.
Additional Requirements for All Key Personnel:
- General GCC-H/GCC Experience: All roles require a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on work with Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC-H/GCC) environments.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass and maintain a GPO Public Trust background check.
- Eligibility for Telework: All FTEs may telework but must be available for all in-person meetings as required by GPO IT Security.
