Citizenship: US Citizen (MUST)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible to possess MBI (IRS Background Investigation) clearance. Active IRS MBI clearance is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Computer Security Reviews: Execute automated and manual compliance scans, interview system users, examine system artifacts, and complete the IT portions (Section H) of Safeguard Review Reports (SRR).
- Agency Submission Analysis: Review and respond to Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Technical Inquiries (TIs), and Safeguards Security Reports (SSRs) for partner agencies, evaluating audit logs and policy documents.
- Methodology Development: Assist in developing and updating the Methodology Plan and Safeguards Computer Security Evaluation Matrices (SCSEMs) in alignment with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and DISA STIGs.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or higher.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience with federal government cybersecurity audits and assessments, implementing security controls, vulnerability management, and IT/cybersecurity project and personnel management.
- Certifications (Minimum of one): CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP, CISM, GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP, CEH, CySA+/CSA+, GSNA, CFR, PenTest+. (Note: Graduation from a 2-year IT/Cybersecurity program may be substituted in lieu of a certification).
- Technical Skills (Tools & Technologies):
- OS/Platforms: Windows, Linux, UNIX, Sun Solaris, MacOS "Assessment or operation of workstation and server operating systems such as Windows, Linux, UNIX, Sun Solaris, MacOS"
- Mainframes: IBM RACF, ACF2 "Assessment or operation of mainframe technology such as (IBM Resource Access Control Facility (RACF), Access Control Facility 2 (ACF2)".
- Cloud & Virtualization: VMWare, Hyper V, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Google.
- Network & Security: Firewalls, routers, VPN, SSL, TLS, FIPS encryption, Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks, and DISA STIGs.
