Senior Field Application Engineer Lead

Job Description:  In this role you will be a part of our world class team located in San Jose and will be responsible for providing direct support of Ethernovia’s customers in the region. As the main interface between customers and our engineering teams you will have high technical competence and the ability to communicate effectively with our multinational customers. Demonstratable problem solving skills are a must for this hands-on role as you will be responsible for taking designs from concept, through the development phase and into series production. Day-to-day activities would include technical support, schematic & layout reviews, working with our internal engineering teams and onsite customer support. As a field-based role moderate travel would be expected.


Key Qualifications

  • BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 6+ years of embedded hardware development
  • Hands-on design experience with at least one of the following: Ethernet PHYs / Ethernet switches / PCIe
  • Hands on design experience covering high speed PCB board design, layout and routing constraints
  • Hands on design experience of EMC testing, debug and design optimization
  • PCB net topology extraction and timing analysis
  • Ability to diagnose and debug problems effectively
  • Automotive experience at Tier 1, Tier 2 or OEM level
