BELA Engagement Director
Overview:
Ethisphere is actively recruiting an Engagement Director for the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA), which is a community of leading organizations who collaborate on developing and sustaining a company culture of integrity and improving a myriad of disciplines and features across the compliance and ethics programs. The successful candidate will develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of client members, supporting colleagues who are nurturing relationships with new client endeavors, and connecting with key business executives and their teams/stakeholders. Throughout this relationship, the Engagement Director will articulate the value of their membership and deliver and secure contract renewals. The Engagement Director will engage existing BELA members and help them to better consume the benefits of membership with increasing immersion in the community and the applicability of its attributes, supporting their work and advancing their Ethics & Compliance strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Be the primary account manager and build long-term relationships with customers, developing a trusted advisor relationship where timely and thoughtful responses are deeply valued
- Key contacts are typically the General Counsel or Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at member companies, or designated leads on their teams which may extend to worldwide markets.
- Retain and grow a portfolio of existing BELA member companies/accounts as well as onboard and manage new accounts as needed
- Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis via online/email, virtual presentations and meetings, and phone
- Monitor and analyze customer’s utilization of all BELA membership benefits
- Maintain an accurate Health Score and Salesforce hygiene for all accounts
- Conduct quarterly or more frequent strategic planning or business review calls with existing accounts with regular check ins in between
- Assist in the development and execution of peer-to-peer in-person and virtual assemblies (ie; roundtables or other events) with BELA members for purposes of Ethisphere and company-led conversations
- Establish a discipline around account plans to update and maintain customer insights to enable superb business-to-business alignment
- Guide our customers on how they can take action at each level of their benefit offering and where Ethisphere support the customer’s overall E&C strategy
- Display proficiency in demonstrating technical BELA benefits to customers (BELA Member Hub, The Sphere data platform, and others)
- Update job knowledge and display intellectual curiosity relevant to the role by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Partner with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships as well as identifying opportunities for additional consultative engagement
Requirements:
- Personal commitment to strong ethical practices and an interest in helping companies advance a strong ethical corporate culture and support corporate social responsibility initiatives
- 3+ years of prior account management or customer service experience
- Experience in the legal and compliance industry and/or Software-as-a-Service and advisory services account management experiences is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Experience demonstrating organizational value through contract renewal and upsell
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce, and virtual platforms such as Zoom and Teams
- Ability to travel, no more than 10% of the time
