About the Role

Ethos is looking for an ambitious self-starter to join our Finance & Strategy Team! You will play a major role in supporting the development and execution of various strategic initiatives. You will use a combination of analytical, operational, and technical skills to evaluate key business problems (scale, efficiency, and quality) while considering multiple different stakeholders. 

This role will have high visibility across the executive team and will require you to solve the most complex, interesting challenges of a rapidly-scaling startup. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate key business problems / strategic initiatives and work with various stakeholders to turn recommendations into a reality
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, & Finance teams on the highest impact projects to ensure the success of the company
  • Build and maintain models to ensure that teams are sufficiently resourced to meet our growth needs
  • Understand and track key performance indicators for the business, and develop & execute action plans to address any weaknesses

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduated from MBA in 2022/2023/2024
  • 1-2+ years of relevant work experience at one of the following preferred:
    • Client-facing role at a major investment bank
    • Client-facing role at a major consulting firm, and experience working on strategy / due diligence assignments
    • Private equity / growth equity
    • Strategic / operational experience at a high-growth technology company
  • Ability to flex between high-level strategic thinking and deep analytical problem solving
  • Excellent written / verbal English communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Best-in-class Excel skills and extensive experience developing insightful quantitative analyses, paired with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment. SQL knowledge is strongly preferred
  • Motivated self-starter with a track record of success and a proven ability to juggle multiple cross-functional projects/tasks while hitting deadlines
  • Able to come into the Bangalore office in a hybrid capacity (3-4 days / week)
  • Able to work until 2pm Pacific Time (~2:30am IST) to overlap with US-based functions 2-3 days a week
  • Prior educational / work experience in the US/UK or work experience with international teams preferred
