About Ethos

Ethos (Nasdaq: $LIFE) is a leading life insurance technology company on a mission to protect families by democratizing access to life insurance and empowering agents at scale. With its robust three-sided technology platform, Ethos is transforming the life insurance experience for consumers, agents, and carriers alike. Ethos offers instant, accessible products and a seamless online process that requires no medical exams and just a few health questions; it eliminates traditional barriers, making it easier than ever for everyone to protect their families. Ethos is redefining how life insurance is bought, sold, and underwritten.

About the role

Ethos is looking for an exceptional sales trainer and builder to help architect and train the next generation of Ethos Sales Agents. This role will work closely with the leaders across sales and product to build Ethos' training, coaching, and script strategy across multiple direct-to-consumer sales verticals, and will personally lead the trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions that bring that strategy to life.

This role will partner with multiple leaders to craft best-in-class sales strategies, test new concepts, and evolve how Ethos Agents engage with customers. The right candidate will have strong sales acumen, the ability to translate that into dynamic, hands-on training delivery, and a passion for building the systems and content that motivate Agents to excel at their role.

This is a highly autonomous, builder-oriented role where success is delivering onboarding and coaching sessions live, improving customer experience, developing systems to track performance, and building agents into top performers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery - Actively lead onboarding, ramp, and ongoing skills trainings for new and existing agents across verticals. You are the primary facilitator, not just a designer of materials.
  • Script Support & Execution - Help develop, test, and refine sales scripts in partnership with sales leaders, and product; train agents on script changes and reinforce adherence through live coaching.
  • Agent Development - Build and run onboarding curriculum and the ramp process for new agents. Lead remedial training sessions for underperforming reps and deliver coaching programs designed with the Head of Sales Development & Training.
  • AI Call Insights Support - Use AI transcription analysis and script adherence tools to identify coaching opportunities, then translate those insights directly into training content and live coaching sessions.
  • Testing & Experimentation - Help design and run structured pilots and A/B script tests; deliver training updates as scripts evolve and gather floor feedback to inform the next iteration.
  • Manager Enablement - Help build and deliver programs that make managers effective coaches, including supporting rollout of the "Ethos Management Philosophy" through direct training sessions with managers.
  • Cross-Functional Support - Bring sales floor feedback into planning conversations with the Head of Sales Development & Training and Product; translate product and script changes into clear, deliverable training content for the sales team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You've delivered or built sales training/enablement programs before, ideally in a high-velocity, script-driven, or regulated sales environment.
  • You're a builder - energized by creating training content and materials, not just executing someone else's playbook.
  • You think like a scientist about scripts and training - you form a hypothesis, test it, measure the result, and iterate rather than relying on gut feel or seniority.
  • You're highly autonomous - you take direction and support from the Head of Sales Development & Training but need minimal hand-holding to get things built and delivered.
  • You're comfortable being in front of a room (physical or virtual), facilitating, coaching, and engaging agents directly.
  • You thrive partnering closely with sales leaders and the Head of Sales Development & Training to shape and execute strategy on the ground.
