About the role (What You’ll Be Doing)
The IT Operations Manager will lead and scale our global IT support function. This role is responsible for ensuring a reliable, secure, and high quality technology experience for all employees, from onboarding to ongoing support, across both our company offices and remote setups.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-first manager who can balance operational excellence, strategic planning and team development as our company scales.
This role sits under our Trust Team (IT, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity) and reports to our Head of Security and Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a global team of IT support analysts across the Philippines, Australia and the UK.
- Own the roadmap and manage delivery for our IT function, continuously driving improvements to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Own end-user support SLAs, ticketing workflows, and escalation paths.
- Partner with Security and People teams to improve onboarding, access provisioning, device management and compliance.
- Coordinate IT support coverage and hardware logistics for local and remote users across global regions.
- Create and maintain clear internal documentation, runbooks, and training guides.
- Lead vendor selection and management for hardware, software, managed service providers and office audio-visual systems.
- Lead cost management, budgeting and forecasting for IT services.
About you (Who you are)
As a key member of our Trust team, you will have:
- 5+ years of experience working in IT in a startup/scaleup environment or software company.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team across multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Kandji or similar MDM, and ticketing systems (e.g. Linear, Freshservice).
- Experience managing IT procurement and licencing processes, managing vendor relationships and negotiating software contracts.
- Experience leading cost management initiatives to optimise IT spend.
- A passion for using automation to streamline IT processes and improve quality of service. You enjoy using low-code/no-code automation tools (e.g. Zapier), using APIs and webhooks and integrating SaaS tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in communicating technology concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
