Following the acquisition of Eucalyptus by Hims & Hers, we are building an international accounting function that can operate to the standards of a US-listed parent company.
About the Role
We are hiring a Regional Controller in Sydney to own end-to-end controllership across the Eucalyptus group and other in-scope international entities as the legal and reporting structure evolves. This role will lead the accounting function, including accounting operation functions such as treasury, AP, payroll, and own reporting and control environment for the international business, including local Australian reporting and reporting to US-listed parent Company. The role will play a key role in establishing the first year SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) control environment compliance program and will be responsible for ensuring the group closes accurately, reports reliably, operates with strong discipline, and meets the expectations of Hims & Hers’ global accounting leadership.
The role is both strategic and hands-on. We need someone who can set the standard for a high-quality controllership function while also being close enough to the detail to improve processes, challenge reconciliations, resolve technical accounting matters, and lift the operating rhythm of the team.
You will own:
Controllership and GL accounting
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the international group, aligned to the Hims & Hers reporting calendar.
- Lead group reporting into Hims & Hers, including US GAAP close requirements, consolidation inputs, flux analysis, balance sheet reviews and reporting commentary.
- Own local statutory reporting requirements across Australia and other in-scope jurisdictions, including AASB / IFRS reporting and coordination with local advisers where required.
- Lead technical accounting positions, judgements and accounting memos in partnership with Hims & Hers technical accounting team, including revenue recognition, leases, intangibles, business combinations, share-based payments, intercompany, provisions and balance sheet classifications.
- Own external audit delivery for group and local statutory audits, including management of Big 4 audit relationships and timely resolution of audit issues.
- Drive alignment of accounting policies, chart of accounts, close processes and reporting standards with Hims & Hers global finance requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing international accounting team
- Act as the primary owner for the entire regional accounting function.
Accounting operations
- Own AP, AR, billing, intercompany, reconciliations and finance operations across the international group.
- Improve process discipline across vendor onboarding, purchase orders, accruals, expense management, invoice approvals, customer receipts and balance sheet hygiene.
- Lead the payroll accounting interface with the People team across relevant jurisdictions.
- Drive process and systems improvements as the business transitions into Hims & Hers’ operating cadence.
- Build a finance operations environment that is scalable, controlled and fit for a listed-company subsidiary.
Treasury
- Own cash management g and banking operations for the international group.
- Manage operational FX exposures across intercompany and external flows.
- Partner with Hims & Hers Group Treasury on cash visibility, bank account governance, funding requirements, intercompany settlement and treasury controls.
- Drive working capital discipline across receivables, payables, inventory and operational cash cycles.
- Ensure treasury processes are appropriately documented, controlled and embedded in the monthly operating rhythm.
SOX and internal controls
- Partner with the SOX implementation lead and Deloitte to design, document and operationalise controls across the international scope.
- Own the process-level controls relevant to controllership, close, revenue, expenditure, treasury, payroll and financial operations.

- Build a strong first-line-of-defence culture across the finance team and adjacent business functions.
- Drive remediation of control gaps, process weaknesses and audit findings.
Systems, data and finance architecture
- Own the finance systems landscape for the international group, including NetSuite, close processes, reporting structures, account mappings, approval workflows and finance master data.
- Ensure NetSuite is configured and operated in a way that supports accurate group reporting, local statutory reporting, intercompany, payroll accounting, treasury, tax and SOX requirements.
- Partner with Hims & Hers global finance systems, IT, data and transformation teams to align the international finance stack with the parent company operating model.
- Drive improvements to system-based controls, workflow approvals, segregation of duties, audit trails and master-data governance.
- Lead finance input into systems integrations, ERP enhancements, reporting automation and post-acquisition process migration.
- Own the quality of finance data flowing between NetSuite, banking platforms, payroll systems, billing systems, procurement tools and reporting platforms.
- Reduce manual workarounds and spreadsheet dependency across close, reconciliations, intercompany, accruals, reporting and balance sheet review processes
Group reporting and stakeholder management
- Deliver timely, accurate and insightful reporting to Hims & Hers on the global reporting timetable.
- Provide high-quality flux analysis, balance sheet reviews, close commentary and issue escalation.
- Act as a trusted partner to the VP, International Controller and Chief Accounting Officer team.
- Be credible with senior finance stakeholders in the US and capable of operating in a US-listed environment.
- Support integration of the international finance function into Hims & Hers’ global operating model.
- Coach and develop the finance team, including succession planning, technical uplift, accountability and retention.
