With $105M in Series A funding led by General Catalyst, we're crafting a category-defining platform that fuses AI-driven automation with human expertise, transforming legal departments into engines of innovation.

We move fast at Eudia. Unlike traditional enterprise software companies, our teams ship solutions in days, not months—delivering real impact for some of the world's largest companies, including Cargill, Coherent, DHL, and Duracell. We're solving one of the most complex, unsolved challenges in AI: bringing trust, accuracy, and security to legal automation.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Privacy Counsel to support one of our global technology clients. Working as an embedded member of the legal team, you'll partner closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, security, marketing, and the wider business to provide practical, commercially focused privacy advice.

This role is ideal for a privacy lawyer with significant post-qualification experience who enjoys working at the intersection of data protection, technology, AI, and product development. You'll play a key role in helping the business innovate responsibly while navigating an evolving global privacy and regulatory landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Advise on global privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other international privacy frameworks.

  • Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to embed privacy by design into new products, features, AI initiatives, and platform enhancements.

  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and provide practical recommendations to mitigate privacy risks.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), vendor agreements, cross-border data transfer mechanisms, and privacy provisions within commercial contracts.

  • Advise on international data transfers and evolving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Support security and incident response teams by advising on legal obligations relating to security incidents and personal data breaches, including notification requirements.

  • Provide guidance on marketing and advertising compliance, including cookies, tracking technologies, consent mechanisms, email marketing, and targeted advertising.

  • Advise on privacy considerations relating to AI and emerging technologies, including data use for model training, transparency obligations, data minimisation, and evolving AI regulation.

  • Draft, review, and maintain privacy notices, policies, internal guidance, and governance documentation.

  • Support responses to data subject rights requests and other privacy-related enquiries.

  • Deliver practical privacy training and guidance to stakeholders across engineering, HR, sales, marketing, and other business functions.

  • Monitor developments in global privacy and AI regulation and help translate legal requirements into practical business processes.

  • Collaborate with external counsel and cross-functional teams to support global privacy initiatives and regulatory compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years' PQE) specialising in privacy, data protection, or technology law.

  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other international privacy and data protection frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience advising on privacy issues within a technology, SaaS, digital platform, or multinational business environment.

  • Experience partnering closely with product, engineering, security, and commercial teams to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.

  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements, privacy provisions, and technology-related commercial agreements.

  • Strong understanding of privacy by design, international data transfers, incident response, and data governance principles.

  • Familiarity with AI governance, emerging technology regulation, and the privacy implications of AI-enabled products is highly desirable.

  • Excellent commercial judgment, with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across global, cross-functional teams.

Why Eudia

Join Eudia and help redefine how legal services are delivered through the combination of AI and human expertise. You'll work alongside talented legal, product, and engineering teams to support innovative global technology businesses, improve legal operations, and deliver meaningful impact where data, software, and AI are at the heart of the business.

If you're excited by technology, enjoy solving complex privacy challenges, and want to help shape the future of AI-enabled legal services, we'd love to hear from you.
