Overview
We are seeking an experienced legal consultant to support a fast-moving AI and emerging technology environment within the US. This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded legal professional who is comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments and who has experience advising on complex technology agreements and regulatory compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on complex technology agreements, with a particular focus on SaaS agreements and other technology-related commercial contracts, as well as emerging technology matters across US jurisdictions.
- Navigate regulatory compliance requirements and jurisdiction-specific contracting considerations across multiple US states and markets.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage legal and regulatory risks in connection with AI and experimental technologies while maintaining commercial agility and deal velocity.
- Support customer and stakeholder engagement during the initial secondment period to inform the development of a scalable managed legal services framework.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, commercial, and operational teams in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience advising on complex technology and SaaS agreements, including negotiating and drafting commercial contracts with customers and/or technology providers.
- Preferred expertise in regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to AI, experimental technologies, and emerging technologies across US markets.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environments.
- Strong understanding of AI technology trends and the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment.
