Test Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
- Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and regression testing.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor application quality metrics and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release validation.
- Ensure software meets functional, usability, performance, and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as:
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Selenium
- Jest
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Basic programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) testing.
- Experience with security testing tools.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
