Sales Development Representative

As a part of Eventbrite's Sales Team, you will connect with a wide range of event organizers daily -- from food festivals to nonprofits, comedy clubs, conferences, music venues, pop-up immersive experiences, and everything in between. Our horizontal platform ensures that each conversation is unique. We prioritize relationship-building and consultative selling to empower event organizers with Eventbrite's powerful suite of tools for event marketing, management, ticket sales, and beyond. THE ROLE:  

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Eventbrite, you are the first point of contact for many of our prospective Sales Clients in North America. You'll generate demand and create excitement for Eventbrite by working closely with Account Executives and Demand Gen Marketing, building a consistent top of funnel pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Through a combination of inbound and outbound techniques, you'll identify and engage with potential sales leads on a daily basis, uncovering their challenges and goals, and communicating how Eventbrite’s platform and a Sales Partnership will set them up for success.


YOU WILL:

  • Represent Eventbrite with professionalism in all interactions - internal and external (prospect and customer-facing).
  • Build a strong pipeline for our Account Executives by exceeding targets and converting quality leads into new sales opportunities when all qualification criteria is met.
  • Engage with high-value event creators to understand their needs and highlight the value of partnering with Eventbrite.
  • Act quickly on new sales inquiries throughout each work day, handling inbound/outbound calls and emails efficiently.
  • Answer incoming calls on our Sales Phone on a daily / weekly basis, qualifying leads into opportunities and redirecting non-sales calls to appropriate resources effectively.
  • Maintain an accurate lead pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and future touch points scheduling when needed.
  • Use active listening skills, genuine curiosity, and learned industry insights and experiences to deeply understand each prospect's needs/goals, tailoring your communication and recommending next steps accordingly.
  • Follow our clear and established qualification process, as well as all internal rules of engagement expectations.
  • Take ownership of skill and process development, prioritizing continuous improvement by setting goals, proactively seeking feedback, and learning through knowledge sharing, enablement sessions, and self / peer review on a weekly basis.
  • Actively engage and participate in our strong remote sales team culture, balancing your individual competitiveness and motivation to win with team collaboration and support. ​


THE SKILL SET:

  • 1+ year of sales (or relevant experience) with proven quota or target achievement consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in quickly learning and adapting to new technologies and tools (e.g., CRM systems, etc).
  • Quick to follow instructions, implement feedback, and/or adjust processes when told to do so.
  • Ability to execute a high volume of outbound and inbound activities (calls, emails) daily.
  • Confidence in engaging with prospects, maintaining excellent call control and organic relationship-building to earn trust while connecting virtually (Google Meet, Zoom, Phone, etc).
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, responsiveness, and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Positive attitude, eager to learn, take on challenges, and contribute to individual and team success while building a foundation for endless career opportunities.
  • Passion and genuine excitement for live experiences and commitment to Eventbrite's Core Values.
  • Genuine curiosity and intelligent questioning that drives meaningful conversation and uncovers prospect's needs and goals.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Groove, Gong, Slack, Genesys, or Zoom.
  • Familiar with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Gmail, etc).
  • Experience in the live events/music/ticketing industry (not required, just a few extra bonus points).

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Eventbrite, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in Eventbrite’s incentive program(s) (such as equity, annual incentive bonus and commission plans), subject to the applicable rules and restrictions.
