Intern - Security Engineer

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote designation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Seattle, WA or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is looking for a Summer 2026 Security Engineer/ Compliance Intern to join our Security Compliance team. Do you want to be an Information Security Engineer/ Compliance Assessor at GoDaddy? We work out large-scale and cross-company security challenges while ensuring that partnership with the development and operational communities remains front of mind. At GoDaddy, Security Engineers and compliance Analysts apply their strong hands-on technical to craft scalable solutions for multiplex problems. You will communicate with GoDaddy Engineering teams, perform security assessments, prioritize security risks, and design. As an intern with our team, you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s security posture and innovation. This is a temporary internship assignment, typically ranging from 3 – 6 months in duration based on region and season.

  • Review security features of products to help our internal and external customers succeed.
  • Solve end-to-end problems.
  • Review SaaS/PaaS configurations.
  • Understand Security Controls and Risks
  • Understand compliance standards
  • Learn how to audit systems
  • Demonstrate a positive demeanor and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs.

Your experience should include...

 

  • Completing a BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in one programming language such as Java, Python, HTML, Javascript, C#, Go Lang etc. will be helpful
  • Prior work experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Exhibit effortless analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent social, written, and verbal interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills with the ability to write clearly and quickly, to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • You have completed multiple academic projects that demonstrate a deep understanding of different technologies and tools.
  • Strong sense of curiosity and always striving to improve your knowledge base.
