Internal Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Position Summary

As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solutions for top-tier multinational Food & Beverage companies. From concept to completion, you'll ensure projects are executed on time, to specification, and at the highest quality standards.

Reporting to the Senior Team Lead, you'll be at the forefront of technology-driven transformation, working with leading-edge systems in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll follow an ISO 9001-approved systems engineering methodology, implementing solutions both in Ireland and internationally, gaining valuable global experience along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Implement successful MES solutions for our customers.
Understand Customer processes and requirements to ensure Projects are implemented to specification; participation in Design, Implementation, Testing and Validation are key.
Actively participate in the configuration, testing and computer system validation of the MES System and any other related configuration as required; work with others on the team to deliver these tasks.
Under the project plan, follow the project workflow to meet the deadlines, set with the Team Lead.
Engage with Customers at on Project Meetings and follow up on Actions and Issues.
Liaise with the wider Orbis Team in relation to continuous improvement across all Projects and Processes.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with sufficient IT experience
At Least 3 years in software project delivery, including at least 1 year in a senior role. Experience in food and beverage or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
Knowledge or interest in food and beverage manufacturing processes (Dairy, Brewing, Distillation), strong analytical skills.
Proficient in SQL, data historians, T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and Microsoft SQL Management Studio (Please note, a technical interview will be conducted to demonstrate your expertise in these areas)
Strong documentation, validation, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
Industry knowledge in food and beverage or pharmaceutical, experience with version control (GIT) preferred.
