Position Title: Senior Technical Project Manager
Position Summary
The Senior Technical Project Manager is a key position in our Program Management and Cybersecurity department. You will be challenged to leverage your expertise in the software development lifecycle, cybersecurity, and project management to manage large technical initiatives. The Senior Technical Project Manager role is multi-faceted, client facing, and will be involved in managing the software development life cycle from inception to production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business and customer stakeholders to define product objectives and requirements.
- Act as technical liaison between the technology team and customer stakeholders.
- Prioritize requirements and define scope to meet market needs in a timely manner given available resources.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute (as appropriate) standard project management deliverables for the successful launch of new products and other technology initiatives, including: implementation plans, project schedule, project budget and variances, issues & action items log.
- Conduct sprint planning for multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead resource planning across all assigned projects.
- Anticipate problems and formulate solutions so as not to impede the progress of technical projects.
- Accountable for on-time product delivery, product quality, cost, and operations for development/infrastructure teams.
- Help establish technologies, tools, and processes.
- Execute projects related to the cybersecurity program roadmap.
- Execute technical projects related to the overall technology roadmap.
- Conduct technology risks assessment and contingency planning.
- Lead or participate in other assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields of study.
- At least 5 years of a combination of Project Management and/or Technical Program Management experience in a technology-oriented organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing large scale system integration projects.
- Experience with cybersecurity projects and a working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Rudimentary understanding of data interfacing/APIs.
- Extensive experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration projects.
- Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.
- Experience with Agile methodologies; Scum Master a plus.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Strong technical foundation; prior experience as a software developer a plus.
- Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical product development.
- Strong tolerance for ambiguity, ability to make decisions and lead change over different functional areas.
