Sr. Manager of E-commerce

San Francisco, CA

Clean luxury. Better for you. At Everlane, we believe luxury should be as effortless as it is conscious. We partner with ethical factories, work with premium, sustainably sourced materials, and strive to leave the industry cleaner than we found it. There's still much to do, and we're excited to grow a team of motivated humans ready for the challenge. The journey toward better continues.

The Ecommerce team at Everlane is responsible for delivering a premium, seamless digital experience that reflects the quality and values of our brand. We own the full online journey from homepage to checkout, combining storytelling, data, and design to drive conversion and deepen customer loyalty. As owners of Everlane’s Ecommerce Site, we collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Product teams to launch new collections, optimize site performance, and elevate how customers discover and shop. We are a small but mighty, insight-led team focused on building a best-in-class experience for the modern, conscious consumer.

As Senior Ecommerce Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of Everlane’s digital merchandising and category performance across our ecommerce platform. You will own the end-to-end customer experience across key categories, using data, intuition, and market insights to drive revenue, enhance product storytelling, and elevate site experience. In this role, you will shape and lead merchandising strategies that connect product, creative, and marketing, ensuring our assortment is represented with clarity, intent, and a strong point of view. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product, Creative, and Marketing teams to align on seasonal priorities, product launches, content needs, and promotional moments. You will also play a key role in our continued evolution on Shopify, testing new functionality, optimizing conversion, and ensuring a seamless customer journey. You are accountable for category performance including traffic (paid, organic, email), product engagement (add-to-bag, PDP view rate), conversion rate, and revenue, measured year-over-year and against forecast.

This position reports directly to the Director of Ecommerce and manages 1-2 direct reports. It works closely with partners across Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Creative, and Product to align on content, strategy, and execution.

Your day-to-day:

  • Own the end-to-end ecommerce strategy and execution for product launches, campaigns, promotions, and SEO initiatives
  • Define and lead category growth plans through optimized site merchandising, navigation, filters, search, and paid media
  • Translate the commercial plan into digital strategies that drive traffic, conversion, UPT, and revenue
  • Combine data, insights, and storytelling to improve customer engagement and elevate site performance
  • Oversee content planning and prioritization for New Arrivals, Best Sellers, promotions, and brand moments
  • Lead optimization of PDP, cart, and checkout experiences; develop and execute testing plans to improve conversion
  • Partner with Product to identify, test, and implement UX and platform enhancements; serve as a key stakeholder in Shopify transition
  • Align cross-functional teams—Creative, Brand Marketing, Merchandising—on campaign execution and product storytelling
  • Track and analyze key ecommerce KPIs; deliver insights and performance recaps to stakeholders across teams
  • Manage and mentor direct report(s); provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Ecommerce and site merchandising, ideally within fashion, beauty, or a lifestyle brand
  • Proven track record of driving category performance and leading digital merchandising strategies at scale
  • Strong analytical skills with fluency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); experience with Looker, GA4, Airtable, and Figma are a plus
  • Experience connecting brand and commerce through effective content planning and product storytelling
  • A strategic and resourceful mindset with a bias toward action and creative problem solving
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing team members
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with shifting priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Hands-on experience with ecommerce platform migrations; Shopify expertise strongly preferred

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
