What You Will Do:
Working in accordance with established Everstand Policies and Procedures and the applicable State Board(s) of Nursing to provide care and services as the Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse will develop, manage and monitor: administration and supervision of medication; emergency assessment and triage of care as needed; coordination of routine medical and dental care; health education for youth, and delegating nurse responsibilities, if applicable.  This position will provide in person duties at the WV Caminos program.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide nursing care, health assessments, and emergency response.

  • Coordinate medical, dental, and wellness care.

  • Manage medications and related documentation.

  • Train and oversee Certified Medication Technicians.

  • Maintain confidential health records and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide health education and support health, safety, and infection control.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Provides oversight and training to Certified Medication Technicians.

Work Environment:
Residential and school settings; may involve challenging youth behavior and exposure to blood or bodily fluids.

Physical Demands:
Ability to perform routine nursing and office activities and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part time weekend position.  Not essential for inclement weather. Rotating weekends (every other Saturday and Sunday) 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break 

Travel:
Primarily local travel, with occasional travel for site audits.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Possession of an active compact Registered Nurse license without disciplinary infractions by the applicable State Board of Nursing
  • Certification to provide training, oversight and monitoring for Medication Administration Certification by direct care personnel, as per applicable State regulatory within the first six (6) months of hire.
  • Diploma, Associates, or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Possession of an active Register Nurse License without infractions by the West Virginia Board of Nursing. Must also be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License without infraction by the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing for remote support of a Pennsylvania program.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience preferably in a pediatric office, group home setting, and/or residential treatment center.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including refugee and/or unaccompanied children and adolescents
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Salary placement within the range is based on the candidate's qualifications and years of relevant experience.
