About the role
The Manager of Professional Learning at Everway supports the strategic vision set by the Director of Professional Services and oversees the day-to-day operations and delivery of our professional learning services. Managing a team of instructional designers, professional learning specialists, and educational consultants, this role is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and continuously improving impactful professional learning experiences that drive customer success and product adoption.
The Manager will work cross-functionally to ensure professional learning programs are well-designed, efficiently scheduled, and consistently delivered, aligning offerings to customer needs and timelines while supporting broader company objectives around retention, expansion, and satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute and support the strategic plan for the Professional Learning team, translating priorities set by the Director and leadership into clear operational plans and actions.
- Oversee the day-to-day design, scheduling, and delivery of professional learning programs, ensuring they meet quality standards and drive strong customer engagement and product adoption.
- Directly manage and coach a team of instructional designers, professional learning specialists, and educational consultants, including workload planning, performance feedback, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to coordinate professional learning services as a key part of the customer journey, ensuring requests are effectively scoped, resourced, scheduled, and fulfilled.
- Use data and customer feedback to monitor program effectiveness, customer satisfaction (CSAT), and key performance indicators, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain and refine scalable processes, systems, and tools (e.g., scheduling platforms, LMS, CRM integrations) to optimize the efficiency, consistency, and quality of professional learning delivery.
- Coordinate the development, organization, and maintenance of training resources and assets that align with product updates and evolving customer needs, ensuring a cohesive and up-to-date learning experience.
- Gather and synthesise industry trends, field insights, and customer feedback, sharing recommendations with the Director to inform ongoing enhancements and innovation within professional learning offerings.
- Serve as an escalation point for day-to-day client issues related to professional learning delivery, ensuring prompt, effective resolution and partnering with the Director on more complex or high-impact situations.
- Assist the Director with resource planning and forecasting by managing team schedules, utilisation, and related expenses within established guidelines to meet customer and business demands.
Essential Criteria
- 5+ years of experience in professional learning, customer success, or training roles, including at least 2 years in a people leadership or team lead/coordinating capacity.
- Experience designing, delivering, or coordinating professional learning programs or similar service offerings, ideally within education or educational technology.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, building a positive, high-performance culture focused on customer success and engagement.
- Proven experience using data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in programs, processes, and delivery.
- Strong project and operations management skills, including experience with scalable processes and tools to support efficient and reliable service delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clearly communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria
- Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in educational technology or working with K–12 or higher education institutions.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Experience managing or tracking budgets, utilisation, or resource allocation to maximise impact.
- Knowledge of CRM, learning management systems (LMS), and other professional learning technologies.
