About the role

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with Software Quality and Development teams to ensure Everway products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and usability. You'll contribute to both manual and automated testing activities across a range of products, helping to improve quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

You'll play an important role in shaping testing practices, supporting automation initiatives, and ensuring quality considerations are embedded throughout Agile delivery processes.

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Test a range of software products, including web applications, web services, desktop applications, and mobile applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites alongside manual exploratory testing activities.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams, providing feedback on testing progress, risks, and quality considerations.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Agile project management and work-tracking tools.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, release validation activities, and quality records.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality assurance practices.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate test automation approaches and frameworks.
  • Support product quality initiatives through risk-based testing and quality-focused decision making.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the Software Quality team.

Essential Criteria

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a software testing or quality assurance role.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests using tools such as Selenium WebDriver or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.
  • Experience testing web applications and diagnosing software defects.
  • Understanding of API testing principles and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Quality Assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and test automation approaches.

Desirable Criteria

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience testing mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar development lifecycle tools.
  • Familiarity with browser extensions and add-ons.
  • Experience using AI-assisted testing tools or applying AI to improve test coverage, defect detection, or quality assurance workflows.
