Senior FP&A Analyst

We are currently seeking a highly analytical and motivated Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will play a vital role in driving strategic financial initiatives, supporting cross-functional decision-making, and helping EVG Specialty Network continue to lead the way in specialty veterinary care.

CORE FUNCTIONS: 

• Develop a deep understanding of our business, the drivers and levers that impact the P&L, and how we manage and monitor performance. Become an asset across the company.
• Support and improve budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning tools and processes. Collaborate with teams across the company to gather data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Develop sophisticated financial models including driver-based planning, scenario analysis, benchmarking, and key performance indicators.
• Develop and produce accurate financial reporting packages for Executives and the BOD. Build dashboards to track budget vs. actuals, KPI’s, and actionable insights for the business.
• Optimize and maintain financial systems, including Sage Intacct and Power BI.
• Partner with operations teams to develop insights and connect operational activity with financial outcomes.
• Partner with the Accounting team to review and understand financial close results.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline FP&A operations and enhance forecasting and reporting capabilities.
• Support other ad-hoc finance work as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting
• Experience working within a veterinary or healthcare environment is a plus
• Experience with and strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct and Power BI is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including modeling, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Attention to detail, including excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment
• Must be located within the Eastern Time Zone

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
