We are looking for an experienced Triage Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team. We’re seeking top-tier technicians who want to make a real impact.

What You Can Expect To Do
As a Triage Technician in our busy ER, you’ll be a crucial part of ensuring every patient gets the right care at the right time. You’ll assess incoming patients, keep the ER flowing smoothly, maintain clear, compassionate communication with patient families, and support our veterinarians and specialists during exams and emergency procedures. Your technical expertise in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics work will make a real difference in critical moments. A commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient workspace is essential. We’re looking for a technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values learning and mentorship, and brings honesty, integrity, and empathy to every interaction.
What You Have:
- 2 years of nursing experience in a veterinary setting, proven experience in an emergency, urgent care or specialty/referral practice preferred.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing and emergency protocols preferred
- Experience with advanced venipuncture techniques including accessing saphenous, cephalic and jugular veins as well as placing and maintaining peripheral IV catheters
- Experience with safe patient handling and restraint.
- Familiar with core safety concepts such as ‘Fear Free’ and the “5 Rights of Medications”
- Ability to perform and interpret basic in-house diagnostics (cytology prep, blood work, UAs)
- Proficient in medical calculations
- Attention to detail, must be thorough in your work, with a focus on accuracy, especially in critical moments
- Ability to perform CPR and other lifesaving procedures
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple tasks like a champ.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Requirements
- Credentialed veterinary technicians preferred, but not required
- Minimum 2 years of proven veterinary experience, (specialty or emergency experience preferred)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
