The Role

To propel Evident’s digital transformation vision, we are looking for a strategic Sr. FP&A Manager to help build our FP&A function with the mission to enable actionable insights and facilitate strategic decision making. Reporting to CFO, the incumbent is responsible for driving the business’s annual budget process and providing value-added financial forecast, financial analysis and management reporting. In addition, the Sr. FP&A Manager is an active contributor to Evident’s integrated strategic planning process and cross functional strategic initiative execution. 

 

What You’ll Do

·       Develop and monitor the business’ annual budget event, including establishing comprehensive budget tools and acting as project manager to ensure budget delivery on time and with high quality.

·       Collaborate with accounting team to provide monthly, quarterly and annual actual vs. budget analysis with actionable insights to help ensure financial reporting accuracy and drive business performance outcome. 

·       Partner with cross functional leaders to establish driver-based rolling forecast practice with focus on tool and process development. 

·       Partner with Sr. leadership team to develop management reporting to enable actionable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

·       Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and business analysis to support the business’s strategic initiative approval decision making and execution. 

·       Provide inputs on FP&A function vision and development strategy in terms people, process and system.

·       Play a linchpin role across functions and a strategic translator role between business and finance to drive effective communication and meaningful collaboration. 

·       Help improve the business acumen of finance function and the finance acumen throughout the organization. 

·       Other ad-hoc initiatives / tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications

·       10+ years’ progressive Finance professional experience and 5+ years’ FP&A leadership experience in technology SaaS sector; finance experience with HealthTech SaaS business is an asset.

·       Bachelor’s degree with major in finance, economics or business; CPA or CFA is required, and MBA is an asset.

·       Strong analytical and modeling skills to prepare dynamics financial forecasts, financial analysis & business analysis.

·       Deep business acumen in SaaS high-tech business sector with the ability to translate business growth strategy into driver-based financial models to help drive business performance accountability and advance strategy execution capability; experience with Series C+ startups is preferred.

·       Outstanding communication and presentation skills to articulate complex financial concepts and issues in a simple manner and tell compelling business story to drive sound decision making.

·       Strong adaptability to ever-changing business environment and critical thinking capability to efficient & effective problem solving.

·       Passionate to dedicate, innovate to disrupt, curious to learn, customer-centric to serve and compassionate to care. 

·       Previous experience in building FP&A function or/and supporting finance function scalability is beneficial.
