Junior Full Stack Engineer

Vancouver, BC, Canada

On-site | Vancouver Office – 564 Beatty St

The Problem You'll Solve

EviSmart builds software and AI-powered solutions for dental labs and dentists.

Dental workflows depend on information: where each case is, what was requested, what's due next, and what needs attention. Today, that information is often scattered across different systems, spreadsheets, emails, and phone calls. This makes it difficult for teams to see what's happening and act quickly.

We're building a family of Command Centers to change that.

Each Command Center brings important information and workflows into one place, helping teams manage everything from 3D scans and dental designs to case intake and follow-ups. AI helps automate routine tasks, giving people more time to focus on decisions and customers.

We're looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer who wants to help build these products.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to features that solve real problems, and gain hands-on experience across frontend, backend, and 3D development.

We value curiosity, accountability, and people who take pride in their work. You won't be expected to know everything, but we do expect you to think critically, ask questions, and take responsibility for the quality of what you build.

What You'll Do

  • Build features that matter. Contribute to our Command Centers, from frontend interfaces to backend logic. You'll help understand the problem, write code, test your work, and improve it based on feedback.
  • Investigate and solve problems. Debug issues, trace them to their root cause, and work with teammates to find solutions that prevent the same problems from happening again.
  • Work with 3D technology. Help build and improve browser-based tools that allow users to view and interact with 3D dental scans and designs.
  • Work with data. Write logic to retrieve, structure, clean, and combine information from different sources, keeping performance and reliability in mind.
  • Use AI to build smarter. Use AI coding tools to accelerate development while understanding, reviewing, and testing the code they produce.
  • Collaborate and challenge ideas. Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers. Ask questions, share ideas, and speak up when you see opportunities to improve something.
  • Take ownership of your work. Follow through on commitments, communicate when you're stuck, and care about what happens to your code after it ships.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of professional software development experience, with exposure to both frontend and backend development.
  • Frontend development experience. Hands-on experience building web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Backend development experience. Experience with server-side programming, APIs, and backend languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Database fundamentals. Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases, including how to retrieve, organize, and update data.
  • Debugging and testing skills. Experience investigating software issues, using version control such as Git, and writing basic tests.
  • Experience with AI coding tools. You've used tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot and can explain, review, and validate the code they generate.
  • A strong sense of ownership. You take responsibility for your work, follow through on commitments, and care about getting things right.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn. You're comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and working through unfamiliar challenges.
  • Logical problem-solving skills. You can break down problems, explain your reasoning, and approach debugging methodically.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with C#/.NET, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with 3D technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
  • Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLMs into software.
  • Familiarity with AI agents, prompt engineering, or AI-driven workflows.
  • Experience working in a startup, small product team, or fast-paced development environment.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
