🎯 Role Overview
As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead multiple client-facing initiatives—from requirements gathering through delivery—acting as the voice of the client and the driver of execution. You’ll partner closely with internal technical and operational teams, delegate work to the right stakeholders, remove roadblocks, and provide clear updates to leadership on a weekly cadence.
The ideal candidate is an agile, highly organized leader who can manage several projects at once, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and thrives in an operations-driven environment.
🧩 What you will do
In this role, you will:
- Own the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure) across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Build and manage project plans, timelines, resourcing, dependencies, and RAID tracking (risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions).
- Develop risk management and mitigation strategies for enterprise technology initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment to scope, success criteria, timelines, and business objectives.
- Oversee technical efforts such as implementations, integrations, migrations, and process automation, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Drive stakeholder alignment through clear communication, documentation, and executive-level reporting.
- Evaluate existing business and technical workflows to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, gaps, and scalability constraints.
- Design and implement improved processes using automation and system integrations where applicable.
- Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials to support adoption and change management.
- Use metrics and data-driven methods to measure performance and continuously optimize outcomes.
🧠 What you will bring
The top candidate will have the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- PMP certification strongly preferred
- 8+ years of Project or Program Management experience in a technical field
- Experience in data center, high-tech, and/or rapid-growth environments (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong working knowledge of Project and Visio
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and tools such as CMDB, CMMS, CMS, and HTML-based knowledge management systems (preferred)
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with confidence leading teams and driving outcomes
- Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively remove roadblocks while maintaining momentum
