United States

EVOCS OVERVIEW

As an IT consulting firm, we work with our clients to understand their needs, identify the right technologies, and deliver solutions that improve performance and support their business objectives.

Today, EVOCS is a trusted technology partner to a growing number of organizations and industry leaders. Our team combines technical expertise, business understanding, and a commitment to quality to deliver effective solutions and build lasting client relationships based on responsiveness, consistency, and results.

We are seeking an experienced Change Management & Communications Lead to lead the change, communications, and delivery management of a business transformation initiative. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will own the change and communications workstream end to end — building and managing the plan, schedule, and budget, driving governance and reporting, managing risks, issues, and dependencies, and directing the work of vendors, contractors, and change champions — while continuing to personally produce the high-quality communications, presentations, and collateral the program depends on. The ideal candidate pairs proven project management discipline with exceptional communication and design skills and is equally comfortable presenting a status report to a steering committee and building the deck themselves.

🧩 What you will do

In this role, you will:

Project & Workstream Leadership

  • Own the change and communications workstream end to end — scope, plan, schedule, budget, and delivery against committed milestones.
  • Build and maintain the integrated workstream plan, sequencing communications, engagement, training, and adoption activities against the broader program roadmap.
  • Define deliverables, acceptance criteria, and quality standards; hold the workstream to them.
  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies with technology, HR, operations, and business project leads.
  • Direct and quality-assure the work of vendors, contractors, agency partners, and the change champion network without direct reporting authority.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the workstream with the Program Director and project leadership.

Governance, Reporting & Risk Management

  • Establish and run the workstream governance cadence — working sessions, checkpoints, and steering committee inputs.
  • Produce executive status reporting covering progress, milestones, budget, risks, issues, and decisions required.
  • Maintain the RAID log; escalate and drive resolution of risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Track and report adoption and engagement metrics and recommend course corrections based on what the data shows.
  • Manage change requests to workstream scope, timeline, and budget through the program change control process.
  • Capture and drive decisions and action items to closure.

Change Management Strategy & Execution

  • Own the change management strategy and plan for the initiative, applying Prosci ADKAR or an equivalent methodology.
  • Lead change impact assessments, readiness assessments, and adoption planning across affected business units.
  • Design and oversee delivery of change management deliverables including:
    • Change management strategy and plans
    • Change impact and readiness assessments
    • Adoption metrics and reinforcement plans
    • Training strategy, schedules, and training communications
  • Coach sponsors, people leaders, and change champions on their role in the change.
  • Establish feedback loops and resistance management approaches, and act on what they surface.

Change Communications

  • Develop and write clear, engaging communications for multiple stakeholder audiences.
  • Create presentations, briefing materials, newsletters, FAQs, talking points, and other communication content.
  • Own the communications strategy and calendar, aligned with project milestones, governance, and reporting cycles.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent with project objectives and organizational branding.
  • Draft executive- and sponsor-level messaging and prepare leaders to deliver it.

Presentation & Visual Design

  • Design professional PowerPoint presentations for executive, leadership, and end-user audiences.
  • Create visually appealing communication collateral including:
    • One-page summaries
    • Infographics
    • Quick reference guides
    • Posters and digital assets
    • Workshop materials
  • Set and maintain the visual standards and templates used across the program.

Workshop & Event Leadership

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Manage invitations, logistics, meeting materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions; document outcomes, decisions, and action items and drive them to closure.

SharePoint & Knowledge Management

  • Design, organize, and maintain the project SharePoint site.
  • Develop an intuitive document repository and knowledge management structure.
  • Ensure project documentation remains current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Manage permissions, page updates, navigation, and content governance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Own and maintain stakeholder registers, stakeholder heat maps, and engagement plans.
  • Track stakeholder engagement activities and communication touchpoints against the plan.
  • Lead stakeholder impact assessments and shape engagement strategy accordingly.
  • Monitor stakeholder feedback and sentiment, and adjust communication and engagement actions in response.

🧠 What you will bring

The top candidate will have the following skills:

  • 7–10+ years leading organizational change, communications, and/or project management initiatives, including ownership of a workstream or project end to end.
  • Demonstrated project management capability — planning, scheduling, budget tracking, RAID management, governance, and executive status reporting.
  • Experience leading matrixed teams, vendors, and contractors without direct reporting authority.
  • Working knowledge of Prosci ADKAR or a comparable organizational change management methodology, applied at a strategy and planning level.
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills, including executive- and sponsor-level messaging.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills with strong visual presentation design capabilities.
  • Experience designing communication collateral using Microsoft Office and/or design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong SharePoint site design, administration, and content management experience.
  • Experience planning and facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Command of stakeholder mapping, stakeholder heat maps, and engagement planning.
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders — presenting status, escalating issues, and driving decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to run multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment with minimal direction.

Ideally you have…

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Prosci Change Management certification.
  • Experience leading change and communications on digital transformation or enterprise technology programs (e.g., ERP, CRM, cloud migration).
  • Hands-on experience with project management tooling (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Planner, Jira, or Asana).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Forms).
  • Experience leading cross-functional business and technology teams.
  • Experience managing a change or communications budget and external vendor spend.
