🎯 Role Overview

At EVOCS, we’re looking for an experienced HRIS Integrations Specialist to join our HiBob Practice on a flexible, project-based basis.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for scoping, designing, documenting, and delivering integrations between HiBob and third-party systems. You’ll collaborate closely with our implementation consultants and HiBob Practice Lead to develop integration solutions that meet our clients’ business and technical needs.

This is an on-demand, hourly opportunity, rather than a full-time or ongoing contract position. Engagements will vary based on client needs, ranging from individual discovery sessions to multi-week integration projects. You'll coordinate your availability with the HiBob Practice Lead for each engagement.

🧩 What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to understand integration requirements, data flows, and system constraints.

• Assess integration feasibility based on HiBob API capabilities and third-party system requirements.

• Define integration scope, assumptions, and deliverables in collaboration with the Project Manager and HiBob Practice Lead.

• Design end-to-end integration solutions, including data mapping, transformation logic, error handling, and reconciliation processes.

• Recommend the most suitable integration approach, whether through native connectors, middleware, custom APIs, or SFTP.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data mapping specifications, authentication and security requirements, testing criteria, and post-go-live runbooks.

• Build and configure integrations using HiBob REST APIs, middleware platforms such as Make.com, Workato, or Boomi, and custom scripts.

• Develop and support SFTP-based integrations for payroll, benefits, and other business systems.

• Perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure successful integration delivery.

• Deploy integrations to production, validate functionality, and provide troubleshooting and post-go-live support as needed.

• Collaborate with internal teams to communicate project progress, identify risks, and proactively address technical challenges.

• Contribute to pre-sales activities when needed, including solution design, technical recommendations, and effort estimates.

 

🧠 What you will bring

The top candidate will have the following skills:

• Hands-on experience working with HiBob (Bob) REST APIs, including authentication, endpoints, rate limits, and data models.

• Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing API-based integrations between HRIS/HCM platforms and third-party systems such as payroll, ATS, benefits, or ERP solutions.

• Proficiency with at least one integration or middleware platform, such as Make.com, Workato, Zapier, or similar tools.

• Experience developing and maintaining integration scripts using Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of SFTP-based data exchange, including PGP encryption and file format specifications.

• Strong technical documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, data mapping specifications, and operational runbooks.

• Ability to independently manage integration projects, prioritize tasks, and communicate proactively with stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.

• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

 

Ideally you have…

• Previous experience delivering HiBob integrations in an HRIS implementation, consulting, or client-facing environment.

• Familiarity with HiBob Payroll Connect and payroll integration processes.

• Experience integrating with North American payroll platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, or Gusto.

• HiBob certification in any module or active pursuit of certification.

• Experience working within a technology consulting firm, implementation partner, or systems integrator (SI) environment.
