Job Summary: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer for our Frontend Platforms to own and evolve our application foundation and frontend development best practices. We’re unifying the frontend experience across multiple products, aiming to build capabilities and frameworks that make creating new applications fast and efficient. This means implementing modular architectures, consistent design systems, and pluggable frameworks so product teams can move with speed and confidence. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will lead these efforts—shaping the technical direction, codifying best practices, and ensuring that our frontend ecosystem is both scalable and developer-friendly. By driving this vision, you’ll enable teams to roll out cutting-edge products with minimal friction, all while delivering a seamless experience to our end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in frontend technologies across multiple product teams, enabling and ensuring a consistent architecture and adherence to established coding standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless, effective, and consistent end user experience.
- Contribute to architectural decision-making from the point of view of the front end, with insights on modularity, shared code and server communication.
- Enable rapid product iteration by developing, documenting, and enforcing best practices for frontend development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Build and maintain EvolutionIQ's frontend application foundation, internal design system, testing and release frameworks, and related entities, including (but not limited to): Component UI library, usage guidelines & documentation, icons, prototyping system, regression testing system, and styling system
- Ensure EvolutionIQ products support a broad global audience through internationalization and accessibility features
- Collaborate closely with team leads and developers on architectural decisions and design considerations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers
- Stay abreast of the latest frontend technology trends and innovations, evaluating and introducing new tools and technologies.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry experience in software or frontend engineering, with proven success in lead/staff/principal roles.
- Demonstrated experience shaping technical strategy and architecture for large or complex engineering organizations.
- Deep TypeScript expertise and mastery of React (preferably also Remix or similar modern frameworks).
- Track record of introducing frontend best practices, including performance optimization, secure coding, and modular architecture.
- Experience internationalizing large-scale web applications and championing accessibility standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, DevOps, Security).
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and cultivate a collaborative, high-performing culture.
