About You: As Manager of Product Design, you will lead a team of Product Designers to craft best-in-class user experiences across our AI powered core products built for the insurance space. You and your team will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to translate complex workflows into intuitive, delightful interfaces that drive adoption and measurable business impact. 

In this role, you will (key responsibilities):

Team Leadership & Growth 

  • Manage a team of # designers
  • Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing product design team (UX, UI, prototyping, etc)
  • Establish an effective design and product culture, prioritizing listening, empathizing, and empowering your team, improving process in a high-growth environment, team norms, and continuous learning

Design Strategy & Execution

  • Champion design  through exceptional attention to detail, high level of excellence, and relentless advocate for the user and value of design
  • Define and evangelize design principles, standards, and best practices
  • Oversee end-to-end design process: user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and hand-off

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to shape roadmaps and prioritize features. with Engineers to ensure quality and consistency
  • Advocate for the user and become a user expert
  • Drive data-informed design decisions though qualitative and quantitative user research to validate concepts and measure usability
  • Synthesize user feedback and analytics into actionable product and design improvements

Product Vision & Innovation

  • Recommend new interaction patterns, emerging technologies, and design trends
  • Champion a user-centered mindset across the organization
  • Work on 0 to 1 products and features while also improving existing offerings

We are looking for someone who:

  • 7+ years of hands-on UX/UI product design experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record leading design teams for Enterprise B2B SaaS products
  • Expertise in user-centered design methods, user research, and accessibility standards
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
  • Strong communicator: you are persuasive and humble in explaining your work and process to internal and external stakeholders of all levels while having the ability to take abstract concepts and turn them into tangible and compelling stories across mediums and channels
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable leveraging analytics to inform design decisions
  • Experience scaling design systems in a high-growth environment
  • System thinker that can uncover patterns and opportunities to efficiently evolve our products towards scalability and consistency
  • Exceptional design chops: you’re a skilled product designer with strong UX/UI stills. You can leverage the best design patterns but innovate where needed to push the quality of the UX & UI in our products; you will raise the level of excellence through feedback, mentorship, and collaboration.
  • Experience in insurance, claims processing, or related domains is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-driven products and data visualization is a plus
