The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll own meaningful parts of the product end to end and work independently within a problem area to production. You'll join a new engineering group at CCC building AI-native products for our auto casualty business, the injury side of auto claims. The group is small and senior, and it's growing fast. Our teams work on:

Medical bills: AI products that help claims teams handle the medical bills on injury claims accurately and efficiently.
Claims decision support: products that help claims professionals make better, faster decisions on injury claims.
Agentic Rules Platform: the rules engine and agentic tooling behind decisions across our casualty products, plus the evaluation infrastructure every team relies on.

Your impact:

You'll build AI-native products that change how injury claims are handled, end to end: the services, data pipelines, integrations, and the interfaces that claims experts use every day. A wrong decision on a medical bill or a settlement has a cost for a carrier and for a person trying to recover. You'll move between quick prototypes that test an idea in days and durable production systems that carriers rely on.

Salary range is:
$180,000 - 225,000
This position is bonus eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build full-stack, AI-powered products in TypeScript and Python, from the data model and APIs to the interfaces experts use
  • Work directly with product managers, ML and AI engineers, and the claims experts who use what you build
  • Own what you ship: design docs, code review, reliability, security, and careful handling of sensitive health data

What success looks like

  • In your first month, you've shipped to production and can work independently in the codebase.
  • By six months, you own an area of the product and have taken a feature from idea to customers.

Requirements:

  • Typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong, hands-on full-stack skills in TypeScript and Python, including a modern front-end framework (for example React) and backend services
  • Solid data modeling and relational database design, including multi-tenant systems
  • A track record of taking ambiguous problems to production, working closely with product and customers
  • Real experience shipping faster with AI-assisted or agentic engineering tools, with examples you can walk us through

Nice to have

  • Experience building products on LLMs or AI agents
