Location: This is a remote position based in the US.

Your Job Opportunity:

As the VP of Commercial Sales, you will lead a team of territory-focused Account Executives to drive revenue growth and help to build and diversify EVPassport’s presence in target geographies. You will work closely with other Sales leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and execute scalable sales strategies that target our key CRE verticals (multifamily, hospitality, retail, workplace, etc.). The Commercial team is primarily responsible for a higher volume of small and medium business (SMB) sales in specific geographic territories, and the team will focus on portfolios no larger than 50 total site locations. These opportunities should create a foundational revenue result that is critical to QoQ growth and consistency. This team also acts as our primary "boots on the ground" in key geographies, becoming aware and connected to relevant stakeholders in these areas including partners, utilities, relevant government offices, etc. 

You Will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals across specific territories where our greatest opportunities are
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of territory-focused Account Executives to maximize sales performance and achieve revenue targets
  • Help identify and cultivate new business opportunities, building strong relationships with CRE contacts, channel partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the broader Sales team to refine our go-to-market strategy (IaaS)
  • Advocate for how to best utilize our Sales tech stack (Outreach, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce CRM)
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to the executive team, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Stay current on EV and CRE market trends, the competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making
  • Represent EVPassport at industry events, conferences, and onsite with clients to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of managing and scaling territory-focused Sales teams at or above the Account Executive level
  • A proven track record of success as an outside seller, and success as team leader
  • Built, coached, and improved a sales team of Account Executives previously
  • Experience leading a sales team selling a technical product or service (hardware, SaaS, or EV charging solutions is required)
  • Direct industry experience (EV) is required; candidates must have a field-level understanding of our competitive advantages
  • A deep understanding of the commercial real estate (CRE) landscape; including contacts and/or knowledge of properties across multifamily, retail, hospitality, workplace, etc.
  • Experience optimizing a territory-based SMB sales strategy
  • Experience selling in collaboration with a diverse channel
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities, with the ability to proactively identify areas of improvement
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment within a growing Sales org
