Vice President, Product
Compensation ranges from $250,000-$270,000 annually depending on experience. 

We are a remote-first company, with offices in Tarrytown NY, St. Petersburg FL, London, and Argentina. For this role, we are happy to consider US-based candidates, with preference to Eastern time zone residency, in the following states: CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA and WI.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Product to lead our product strategy, vision, and execution. This is a critical leadership role that demands a product leader who can blend deep SaaS expertise with an intimate understanding of tax and compliance technology. You will define and drive our product roadmap, design and champion our product engineering processes, elevate our market differentiation, and ensure we deliver exceptional value to our customers. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision 

  • Develop and own the multi-year product vision aligned with business strategy, customer needs, and evolving tax technology trends.
  • Identify key market opportunities, shape product differentiation strategies, and validate product-market fit.
  • Evangelize the product vision across internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management 

  • Design, implement, and lead the full product-engineering lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through design, development, launch, support, and post-release optimization, in concert with the VP of Engineering.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure high-quality, timely, and scalable product delivery using Agile methodologies.
  • Oversee user experience strategy to ensure products are intuitive, compliant, and performance-optimized.

Customer-Centric Innovation 

  • Drive a deep understanding of both internal and external customer problems and translate them into compelling solutions through continuous discovery.
  • Engage with enterprise clients and strategic accounts to validate priorities and co-develop innovative capabilities.
  • Monitor customer feedback loops, adoption data, and support insights to iterate and refine the product.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class product team, fostering a high-performance, ownership-driven culture.
  • Create and maintain scalable product processes, documentation, and governance structures.
  • Develop clear objectives, KPIs, and career paths for the product team.

Cross-Functional Alignment 

  • Ensure alignment between the Product Engineering Organization and the Executive team, inclusive of prioritization of the product roadmap and awareness of product engineering initiative status and product engineering team successes/challenges. 
  • Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance to ensure product alignment across all go-to-market and operational functions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Enablement on product positioning, messaging, pricing, and launch planning.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure product features meet evolving regulatory standards.

Market Analysis & Thought Leadership 

  • Strong understanding of the B2B Service Provider market as it pertains to tax technology.
  • Stay informed of competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, regulatory shifts, and customer behavior in the tax tech space.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, customer events, and media as a thought leader in tax and compliance automation.

 

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience in tax technology, fintech, regulatory compliance, or enterprise B2B platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, product discovery techniques, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, execution discipline, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong grasp of user experience design, systems thinking, and enterprise software lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills & Attributes: 

  • Experience with global tax compliance, indirect tax, corporate tax, or related domains.
  • Background in scaling SaaS products through hyper-growth stages.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), APIs, and data security requirements.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and leadership presence.
