Senior Data Engineer

The customer’s platform brings together the best in engineering, scientific intelligence, and data science to put the right tools into the hands of researchers to enable them to invent and commercialize ideas. The customer can extract and link data from multiple sources and make it available through their interface, which is vital in making the best decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Pipeline Pilot and KNIME in a production environment
• Background in small molecule data and bioactivity datasets
• Solid programming skills in Java, especially for building custom components
• Familiarity with OAuth2 and OData protocols for secure API integration
• Proficiency in life sciences, cheminformatics, or a similar scientific domain

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines using KNIME and Pipeline Pilot
• Integrate scientific workflows with RESTful APIs using OAuth2 and OData protocols
• Develop custom components in Java for Pipeline Pilot and KNIME
• Collaborate with domain experts to support small molecule and bioactivity data workflows
• Optimize data processing and pipeline performance for large-scale scientific datasets
