Location
UK, Dublin - Hybrid (2 days in office)
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a business analyst in capital markets, with deep expertise in fixed income (both cash and derivatives)
- 5+ years of Calypso experience
- Proven hands-on experience with the Calypso platform, including upgrades, configurations, and functional workflows
- Strong understanding of fixed income instruments such as bonds, repos, swaps, and derivatives, along with associated trade lifecycle and risk management processes
- Experience working with front, middle, and back office stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Solid knowledge of trade capture, PnL, risk, and settlement workflows within Calypso
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively bridge business and technical teams
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Previous experience with Calypso upgrades or migrations is highly desirable
- Advanced knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules
- Ability to work independently
- Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant
Responsibilities
- Work with technology partners (e.g. Solution Designers and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solutions options and recommendations
- Collaborate with the Fixed Income team to gather and analyze business requirements across cash and derivatives products
- Support and enhance Calypso platform functionality to align with evolving business needs, ensuring optimal performance and stability
- Conduct detailed gap analysis and propose solutions to bridge business requirements with system capabilities
- Lead or contribute to the Calypso upgrade process, ensuring seamless integration and minimal impact to existing workflows
- Document workflows, specifications, and system configurations for effective knowledge transfer and maintenance
- Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting of Calypso-related processes across cash and derivative instruments
- Work with technology teams to deliver enhancements and ensure robust data integration and process automation
- Provide user support and training to stakeholders, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay up to date with market developments in the fixed income space and best practices in Calypso platform management
