Murex Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Front Office Murex Business Analyst to join our dynamic trading technology team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing Murex platform functionality for front-office users, particularly within FX, interest rate derivatives, and fixed income markets. This role demands strong product knowledge, hands-on Murex experience, and a deep understanding of the trade lifecycle in a high-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in financial markets or IT business analysis within a trading or front-office environment
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with the Murex platform, specifically within front office or trading modules
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, market data feeds, and financial instruments such as FX derivatives, interest rate swaps, and fixed income products
• Proficient in building test cases, validating configurations, and documenting issue resolutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Murex modules such as Mx.3 Front Office (e.g., MxG2000/MxMLExchange), Market Data, Simulation, or Workflow modules
• Familiarity with SQL, XML, or scripting languages for data analysis and troubleshooting
• Prior involvement in full-cycle Murex implementation or upgrade projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between front office users (traders, quants) and technical teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements
• Collaborate in the implementation, configuration, and upgrade of Murex modules with a focus on trading workflows
• Leverage strong knowledge of financial derivatives to support pricing, market data management, and structuring complex products in Murex
• Participate in testing efforts by creating and executing test cases, validating results, and documenting outcomes
• Troubleshoot issues, identify defective use cases, and work with development teams to design and implement effective solutions
• Provide on-demand support to trading desks and ensure optimal performance of front-office systems
