About the Client
A major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending. The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native microservices using Java and Quarkus
- Build and support event-driven architectures leveraging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality
- Design and optimize solutions using relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Deploy and manage applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
- Leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS
- Implement observability practices to improve system reliability and performance
- Design scalable solutions utilizing concepts such as auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
What You Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Quarkus for developing scalable, cloud-native microservices
- Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with containerized environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS
- Understanding of observability practices and monitoring strategies
- Solid understanding of scalability concepts including auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery
- Familiarity with software engineering principles such as SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to writing maintainable code
- Experience working in Agile development environments
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud providers such as Azure or GCP
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, or Golang
- Experience within the financial services industry, including banking, fintech, card companies, or insurance
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team's technical evolution
