POSITION: Maintenance Technician 

LOCATION: Gainesville. TX

SHIFT: 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

STARTING PAY: $25.00/HR with 3.00 shift differential

  • Assist all departments in repairing and maintaining equipment necessary for production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain all resin systems and vacuum loaders, clean filters and repair as required.
  • Maintain all support equipment, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air systems and water systems
  • Assist and/or perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order change.
  • Assist and/or perform adjustments on production equipment, trouble shoot and repair.
  • Perform daily maintenance sheets on equipment and lift trucks, prioritize and close work orders. 
  • Use volt meter, check and replace fuses, motor starter, replays, pumps, motors, both AC-DC and trouble shoot faulty electric circuits.
  • Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuild, plant shutdowns and new equipment installations.
  • Facility upkeep and maintenance to include but not limited to plumbing, lighting, basic carpentry, snow/ice removal and other related facility tasks
  • Assist all departments with breakdowns
  • Have a strong attention to detail and willingness to participate in 5S
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Follow all safety requirements of this position.
  • Perform all other duties as directed by management.

 

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in mechanical industrial maintenance
  • Experience in electrical maintenance
  • Ability to use most hand and power tools required for this position: wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, band saw.
  • Familiarity with plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic controls
  • Knowledgeable of state and local safety codes.
  • Working knowledge of 120/240/280v single and three phase systems

 

 

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to successfully complete certification training through Dura-Line
  • Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and adhere to Dura-Line's SOP & GMP policies.
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs with or without reasonable assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, silos, railcars, and roofs at varying heights. 
  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Occasionally working outside in inclement weather
  • Electrical, water and chemical hazards present in the working environment.
  • Work includes exposure to equipment with moving components and spending 12 hours a shift on your feet.
  • The ability to move from one area to another may require stepping over and/or bending under objects.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
