We are seeking a Family Advocate to oversee and coordinate family development, health, nutrition, disabilities support, and enrollment services for our Head Start program. This role integrates services for children and families, provides referrals and resources, and ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support families through needs assessments, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Oversee enrollment and recruitment based on eligibility guidelines.
• Conduct audits, maintain records, and provide reports.
• Train staff on case management, transitions, and documentation.
• Coordinate health, dental, nutrition, and mental health services.
• Engage with parents to support child development and health care access.
• Represent the program in the community and build partnerships.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field.
• Experience working with young children (birth to kindergarten) preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to manage databases.
• Knowledge of community resources, particularly in health and disabilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to travel frequently between centers. Travel is 80%.

Pay Range
$45,000 - $55,000 USD

What It Takes to Join Us
- At least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED
- EDU 119 and 12+ hours of ECE coursework (or currently enrolled and working toward it)
- Experience teaching young children
- A love for teaching young children and supporting their growth
- Ability to meet all state and federal childcare licensing requirements
