Coordinator, Brand Marketing

Position Summary: Excel Sports Management is seeking a Coordinator, Brand Marketing to support the collective work of the Brand Marketing team, which includes advising a key corporate client on their sponsorship and sports marketing investments, with a focus on sports and entertainment talent partnerships. This role will provide key administrative, strategy, and activation support across a portfolio of partnerships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management of Excel’s Brand Marketing client’s sponsorship activation and marketing initiatives, with a focus on talent/influencer strategy, acquisition and management
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships that result in enhanced partnerships and increased opportunities for Excel
  • Facilitate and support the daily client interaction across brand, property and agency partners to support the sponsorship function and associated programming
  • Support the development of creative platforms and new consumer engagement activations across current and future client sponsorship opportunities
  • Coordinate client-vendor relationships and necessary activation deliverables on behalf of clients
  • Support and facilitate talent/influencer relationships and ensures successful fulfillment of contractual obligations via agent/representation
  • Create activation briefs, recaps, event itineraries/ROS and production/staff plans
  • Plan client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents
  • Work with the team to develop integrated marketing and activation recommendations and plans (social, digital, traditional media, experiential, PR, events, etc.)
  • Support the Brand Marketing team by reconciling budgets and providing on-going client updates
  • Support teammates to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
  • Conduct research, analysis and provide recommendations in an effort to gain greater knowledge of our industry
  • Attend and participate in staff events which may include some nights and weekends
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in sponsorship, sports marketing, brand marketing strategy, or other relevant industry experience; activation at a brand, property or agency preferred
  • Experience with talent or influencer marketing strategies and activations a plus

  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and the technical/computer skills to create and deliver client presentations
  • Goal-oriented, results-driven and able to maintain composure under pressure
  • Able to communicate and connect effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style according to the audience
  • Proactive and productive, recognizing opportunity and implementing procedures to achieve better job efficiencies
  • Driven to increase industry knowledge and work to stay ahead of the curve

  • Ability to travel frequently and work nights, weekends, and holidays

 

The pay range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law. 

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
