Senior Coordinator, Brand Marketing

Position Summary: Excel Sports Management is seeking an experienced Senior Coordinator, Brand Marketing to support the work of a key Brand Marketing account, including contributing research, strategy, and portfolio management expertise across various investments. This role will provide end-to-end solutions, including strategy, activation, implementation, partnership management, and execution. This person will create meaningful, strategic, and inspiring brand concepts, ideas, stories, and experiences for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day management of Excel’s Brand Marketing client’s sponsorship activation and marketing initiatives focused in professional hockey, basketball and baseball
- Build and maintain positive client relationships that result in enhanced partnerships and increased opportunities for Excel
- Facilitate and support the daily client interaction across brand, property and agency partners to support the sponsorship function and associated programming
- Support the development of creative platforms and new consumer engagement activations across current and future client sponsorship opportunities
- Coordinate client-vendor relationships and necessary activation deliverables on behalf of clients
- Plans client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents
- Work with the team to develop integrated marketing and activation recommendations and plans (social, digital, traditional media, experiential, PR, events, etc.)
- Support the Brand Marketing team by reconciling budgets and providing on-going client updates
- Support teammates to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
- Conduct research, analysis and provide recommendations in an effort to gain greater knowledge of our industry
- Attend and participate in staff events which may include some nights and weekends
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-4 years of experience in sponsorship, sports marketing, or other relevant industry experience
- Sports marketing or brand marketing experience related to professional hockey, basketball, and/or baseball is preferred
- Sports marketing and/or agency experience managing day-to-day relationships with clients, agencies, and partners

- Experience managing day-to-day relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors
- Superior organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong sense of ownership, ensuring goals are met and high-level standards are upheld
- Able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solve independently (and in groups)
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and the technical/computer skills to create and deliver client presentations
- Goal-oriented, results-driven and able to maintain composure under pressure
- Able to communicate and connect effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style according to the audience
- Proactive and productive, recognizing opportunity and implementing procedures to achieve better job efficiencies
- Driven to increase industry knowledge and work to stay ahead of the curve

- Ability to travel frequently and work nights, weekends, and holidays
The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
