Position Summary: This position will be based in Excel’s New York Headquarters and will be instrumental in driving the Football sales efforts. The role will focus on securing significant revenue and marketing opportunities for Excel football clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Directly generate revenue for football clients, including local, national and global deals, primarily in non-endemic categories.
  • Conducts dedicated daily prospecting work and outreach in support of the candidate’s own book of business, as well as the group’s, including targeted searches in specific markets and active categories within the sports industry;
  • Own and call on an established set of key companies, media agencies, sports agencies and talent buyers, from which to cultivate ongoing business. 
  • Creatively package and market football talent utilizing effective storytelling and a solutions-oriented approach for brands.
  • Ability to juggle and navigate the big and small - securing both the high-profile, multimillion dollar endorsements while also delivering trade agreements in local markets for key clients.
  • Negotiate regional marketing partnerships for current Excel Football clients and maintain relationships with local brand decision makers
  • Procure product for Excel Football talent, including client camps and gifting programs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations that align with client and brand objectives.
  • Create pre-meeting briefs with research and background on company as well as other essential prep information
  • Proactively monitor social media for brand information, activations and creative trends
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to include Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Legal, Agents, Creative and Client Service groups for divisional needs;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • 3-5 year experience in Sports Marketing and/or Sales preferred.
  • Football sales experience preferred

  • Deep knowledge of sports, athlete marketing, and brand partnerships.
  • Commitment to organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance;
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Excel

The pay range for this position is: $80,000- $90,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law. 

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
