Position Summary:

Excel Sports Management is seeking an experienced Coordinator, Brand Marketing to support field and experiential marketing initiatives for a key client in the financial services industry. This person provides end-to-end field and experiential marketing solutions, including strategy development, event identification, planning, management, execution, and reporting. The ideal candidate is passionate about events, creative ideation, and executing with excellence. This person is a self-starter who can create and execute events with lasting impact. This role will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

 

 Responsibilities:  

  • Coordinate client-vendor relationships and necessary activation deliverables on behalf of clients
  • Plan and support client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents
  • Support field and experiential marketing initiatives for key clients
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships that result in increased opportunities and expansion of scope
  • Interact daily with clients and all appropriate agencies/properties to manage event initiatives
  • Assist with the development of client’s field marketing and experiential strategy and annual calendar of events, as well as creation of unique experiences
  • Create and implement planning tracking tools and onsite materials, e.g., briefing documents, event itineraries, staffing plans, delivery schedules, key contacts, run-of-show, etc.
  • Support the negotiating of contracts, securing products and services based on client needs
  • Provide onsite management of field/experiential events
  • Support the Brand Marketing team by reconciling budgets and providing on-going client updates
  • Engage internal resources and vendors to be accountable for delivering work to the highest standards
  • Support teammates across the group to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
  • Understand the businesses and industries of our clients and focus on creating new opportunities for the brand and our business

 

Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 1-2 years of experience in sponsorship or brand marketing strategy and activation at a brand, property or agency preferred

  • Excellent time management and be able to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and the technical/computer skills to create and deliver client presentations
  • Goal-oriented, results-driven and be able to maintain composure under pressure
  • Able to communicate and connect effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style according to the audience
  • Uncompromised ethics, integrity and discretion with company and client information
  • Engages in internal activities (team building, events, off-sites, etc.) and embraces internal culture
  • Ability to travel frequently and work nights, weekends and holidays

 

The pay range for this position is: $67,500- $70,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
