ABOUT THE ROLE

ExoAnalytic Solutions is currently looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join a team developing a modern modeling, simulation, and analysis software framework used to simulate the motion and interaction of satellites with other satellites and ground systems. We are specifically looking for those interested in improving the simulation, user interface, and 3D visualization capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Work on a team with other engineers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing (or completed) undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • No prior software development experience required, but experience with programming languages is required
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: computer graphics, 3D visualization, simulations, game engines, game development, user interfaces, systems modeling, behavior modeling, state machines, analysis, space systems, control theory, orbital dynamics, or model-based systems engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest and ability to learn about space, space systems, and related technologies.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities.
  • Familiarity with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Python, C/C++, shader programming languages (GLSL).
  • Experience with Unity3D or other game engine technologies, OpenGL, WebGL, DirectX.

HOURLY RANGE

$22 - $26 per hour.

Actual level and hourly rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and years of experience.
