You have the knowledge and skills to build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems and want to drive real value with them:

  • Have you ever served 30B requests and 7 PB of data a month for over 300 million active clients? Join us and dive into the specific challenges that this scale brings.
  • You deliver across the technology stack. Whether it is building a service in NodeJS or Go, using your understanding of cloud platforms to architect scalable & maintainable systems, optimizing caching strategies to reduce latency, designing resilient Pub/Sub workflows, or even putting together a frontend with one of the modern frameworks, you feel comfortable solving the puzzle. And if you don’t know how, you are happy to dive right in and learn!
  • You design and build scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs. Your mind naturally maps out how different components connect, and you find satisfaction in delving into the intricacies of distributed systems, databases, and APIs to fine-tune them for peak performance and massive scalability.
  • Your curiosity is boundless, and you genuinely love untangling complex problems. You know how to leverage data and analytics to understand system performance and user behavior. You'll use insights to identify bottlenecks, optimize processes, and ensure our services deliver the best possible experience.
  • Be at the forefront of AI innovation: You'll have the opportunity to explore and integrate AI into our foundational services, shaping the future of user experiences and contributing to solutions that impact millions worldwide.
  • You're not content with just shipping code; you're driven to see it make a tangible difference. You're passionate about understanding the "why" behind every line you write and how it genuinely improves someone's day.

Today, we are the world’s largest ad-blocking company. As such, we protect the sanity of hundreds of millions of people, mostly on desktop, by blocking nuisance elements online.

With a new leadership team in place, we are now working to build the world’s largest cybersecurity company, one that protects more than a billion people. This means expanding our protection to cover the five personal safes: safe sanity, safe privacy, safe hardware, safe money and safe children (with fine-grained parental controls). It means protecting all devices. And it means protecting our users at all times. Effectively, we are aiming to build the personal firewall to rule all firewalls.

Searching for Re-Founders

Borrowing a term from Reid Hoffman, we are “re-founding” eyeo. For a long time, life at eyeo was very predictable. Today, it is not. We are trying to do things that we have never done before, and our aspirations are sky high.

This means that we are not looking for tell-me-what-to-do employees. We are not looking for people who will happily accept being cogs in a machine. We are looking for leaders. We are looking for “re-founders”. We are looking for people who—through clarity of thought and tenacious force of will—can cut through the chaos and pull us to new heights.

Largely Remote, but Need Not Be

We have over 300 colleagues across the world. We work largely in remote teams spanning EST, BST and CET time zones. If working remotely isn’t for you, we also have our HQ in Berlin, and we have offices in Cologne, Toronto and soon in NYC. We also have many colleagues in and around London, and so this may be our next physical hub.
