Job Summary

The Strategic Analyst at The Fischer Group strengthens strategic planning by analyzing internal operations and external market activity against the organization’s strategic objectives. This role turns market and divisional data into reports, trends, recommendations, and insights that help leaders evaluate communities, models, market homes, and elevations. You will work across leadership and cross-functional teams to support projects, surface gaps and opportunities, and develop practical solutions to unique or recurring problems.It is an opportunity to bring analytical judgment, organization, and initiative to work that informs decisions across the organization.

This position is 100% onsite in Erlanger, Ky.

  • Analyze internal operations, external market activity, and divisional trends to identify root causes, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Translate data and information into solution-based recommendations and practical next steps.
  • Communicate clearly, listen actively, and build effective working relationships with leadership, cross-functional teams, competitors, and data suppliers.
  • Adapt quickly to changing environments, tasks, responsibilities, and people while maintaining effectiveness under stress.
  • Exercise sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and customer service in internal and external interactions.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple projects, reports, analyses, meetings, and updates while taking initiative to improve execution
  • Utilize AI as an avenue for creating efficient, trustworthy, and repeatable processes and deliverables. 

These skills will be used to:

  • Complete competitive market analyses for assigned divisions by high school district, including analyses for hypothetical communities as requested and active communities twice annually.
  • Find and clean closings by high school district for the Five-Year Forecast.
  • Analyze internal data and trends to produce ad hoc reports and support strategic planning.
  • Complete projects, reports, and analyses assigned by the Corporate Strategic Manager, Senior VP of Corporate Strategy, President and COO, CEO, and Market Presidents.
  • Provide recommendations for new models, market homes, and elevations as needed.
  • Oversee monthly marketing meetings and keep data sources updated.
  • Determine trends across divisions and identify gaps and opportunities for success.
  • Communicate internally with the Corporate Strategic Manager, executive leadership, land development, architecture, sales, marketing, finance, IT, and operations teams, and externally with competitors and data suppliers.
  • Demonstrate creativity in finding new solutions and proactively avoid unique or recurring problems.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in data analytics, finance, or strategic planning.
  • Four (4) year degree in Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
