  • Perform visual weld inspections to evaluate weld quality, weld size, appearance, and compliance with project requirements
  • Confirm proper weld preparation, joint fit-up, alignment, and use of approved Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Verify incoming materials against specifications, heat numbers, material test reports, and other required certifications
  • Support material traceability from receipt through fabrication and final documentation

  • Track NDT results and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate
  • Maintain weld logs, inspection reports, material records, NCR logs, and other QA/QC documentation

  • Assist with compiling final turnover packages for customer or project closeout
  • Help ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, and client-specific requirements
  • Promote a safe, clean, and quality-focused fabrication shop environment

  • Ability to use inspection and measuring tools such as weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and related equipment
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to maintain organized, accurate quality records
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with shop, project, and quality personnel
  • Ability to work in an active fabrication shop environment

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in pipe fabrication, industrial fabrication, or mechanical construction

  • Background in industrial, refinery, chemical processing, power generation, manufacturing, or similar fabrication environments

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and move throughout a fabrication shop during the workday
  • Comfortable working around welding, grinding, cranes, forklifts, and active fabrication operations
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials, tools, or inspection equipment as needed
