The Opportunity

The Senior Data Analyst will guide our company in making data-driven decisions to help support our rapid growth.  This role will be responsible for developing reports and KPI’s that will be measured against on a regular basis.  The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for generating, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data from multiple data sources. This role will work heavily in Power BI and will use data from our data warehouse, Netsuite, Shopify, Google Analytics, and our various 3rd party vendors.  This role will also involve working closely with cross-functional partners and report directly to the Director of Finance and Analytics. Success will depend on the ability to transform data into goal-driven, actionable insights for Management, supporting the strategic decision process. This is a Hybrid position where you will work on-site in Danville Tuesdays -Thursdays. *Please note that we are not in a position to support visa sponsorship at this time.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth quantitative analysis using SQL, Excel, Power BI and other tools and platforms leveraging internal and external data sources
  • Develop and create rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and customized analyses
  • KPI metric development and maintenance
  • Monitor and report trends regarding all KPIs and success metrics
  • Collaborate with the Technical Operations Team on the strategic evolution of our data warehouse identifying and revising reporting requirements
  • Maintain data integrity across system upgrades and migrations
  • Successfully communicate actionable findings and implications
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize business and analytical needs. Clearly articulate data-backed answers to key questions
  • Work with external partners on an as needed basis to address core competency improvements
  • Identify, define, and implement new data-driven strategies and processes for the organization
  • Identify and gather relevant data, analysis of that data, and then insights that guide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain a process for continuously monitoring and improving data health and integrity
  • Work in partnership with and mentor our Financial Business Analyst
  • Assist in training end-users on newly created dashboards and reports

 We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who:

  • Understands financial reporting and has strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate a compelling story verbally and visually with data
  • Has the ability to succeed in a rapidly growing business environment, where business processes are not always intact, while recognizing the need for new processes
  • Must be analytically curious to explore and resolve data issues, to synthesize disparate data to mine and communicate not only data but insights
  • Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels
  • Has excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to assess goals and priorities
  • Comfort interacting with senior management, acting as a cross functional partner
  • Applies creativity in generating solutions to problems
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

 

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Must be proficient in Power BI
  • A minimum of three years of SQL programming experience
  • Experience with using Google Analytics to develop marketing centric reports and dashboards.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, including proficiency with analytical software and business intelligence tools
  • Experienced in using and querying against a data warehouse
  • Proven financial analysis, financial modeling, and visualization skills
  • Experience in developing and reporting against KPI’s
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • The ability to learn other analytical tools as needed
  • Practices outstanding attention to detail
  • Drives for results and is results oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
  • Skincare/Beauty experience a plus

Salary Range: $120-140k plus bonus and full benefits package
