Position Overview

We are in search of a Licensed Esthetician looking for a meaningful, long-term role in our Danville, CA facility! Face Reality provides high quality, result driven acne services delivered in a beautiful and educational environment. Our Estheticians build a treatment plan for their clients to clear their skin and provide on-going care to keep them clear.

Our estheticians are a critical link to create an outstanding customer experience. Your expertise in Face Reality’s skincare products, methods, and protocol will make you an essential part of our team. We are a rapidly growing business, with growth opportunities for those who perform above and beyond. Will report up to the Clinic Manager. This position is onsite in the Danville Clinic Tuesday - Saturday. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand the Clear Skin Method and Adaptive Approach
  • Full understanding of the professional and retail product assortment
  • Proven understanding of the various treatment protocols
  • Attend trade shows as booth staff, when needed

Product Knowledge

  • High level knowledge of Face Reality Skincare products, ingredients, formulations and their direct effects on the skin
  • Will enable estheticians to recommend suitable products for their client’s specific needs following Face Reality’s proprietary adaptive method.

 

Client Consultation

  • Ability to conduct a thorough consultation and skin analysis to expertly assess degree of acne, IGA score, skin sensitivities versus allergies and skin issues stemming from improper product usage
  • Thoroughly and effectively communicate treatment goals, expected outcomes and the necessity for home care usage
  • Adhere to requirements for maintaining treatment records and client clearing progression including photos and post-treatment follow up
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, including ethical behavior, confidentiality and a positive team mentality.
  • Build trust and rapport with clients

 

Sanitation Hygiene

  • Strict adherence to proper sanitation and hygiene practices that are set forth by the CA Board of Barbering and Cosmetology
  • Maintain clean tools and workspace

 

Sales and Retail Skills

  • Has the ability to recommend and sell skincare products to clients, providing guidance on at-home skincare routines
  • Requires effect communication and product knowledge and an eagerness to help clients with customized solutions to meet their individual needs

 

Qualifications:

  • California Esthetician license required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or comparable job experience
  • Certified Acne Expert a plus
  • Skin Knowledge:
    • Thorough understanding of skincare techniques, products, and treatments is essential
    • Includes knowledge of different skin types, conditions, and the ability to recommend appropriate skincare regimens
  • Facial Treatments:
    • Proficiency in performing various facial treatments such as cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, mask applications, and modalities.
    • Skilled in adapting treatments based on individual skin needs
    • Confident in administering facial peels, peel layering, and extraction techniques both manually and with comedone extractors
  • Equipment Operations:
    • Familiarity with the operation of esthetician equipment, such as steamers, mag lamps microdermabrasion machines, electric treatment tables, LED panels, high frequency machines, cold globes, and other specialized tools used in skincare treatments and sanitation practices
  • Computer Proficiency:
    • Proficient computer skills including navigating operating systems (window/MacOS), word processing software, email communication (composing and sending messages, attaching files, organizing messages into folders.) Navigating websites, using bookmarks, completing online forms, etc
  • Time Management:
    • Efficiently managing appointment schedules and treatment times to provide timely and effective services to clients
    • Ability to multitask to support ever changing business needs
    • Adequately organize and prioritize work tasks to optimize efficiency
    • Define objectives and align with action plans to achieve goals

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to move around the office including stooping, crouching, and/or kneeling to troubleshoot issues
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Comfortable lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and materials
  • Comfortable using a computer, keyboard, and mouse

Compensation: $25-$28/hr + bonus + award units + 10% on product sales + tips!
